Job Summary
The Landscaping Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing landscaping operations to deliver high-quality outdoor spaces. This role involves overseeing daily activities related to landscape maintenance, construction, and project execution while ensuring safety, productivity, and team performance. The Supervisor plays a key role in coordinating crews, managing resources, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily landscaping operations, including maintenance, construction, and installation projects
- Lead, train, and motivate crew members and subcontractors
- Participate in hands-on landscaping and construction work as a working supervisor
- Review project specifications, schedules, and site conditions with management
- Monitor productivity, quality standards, and adherence to deadlines
- Identify job site hazards and implement safety protocols
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Manage equipment, tools, and materials required for projects
- Prepare reports, timesheets, and production logs
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management
- Attend project meetings and represent the company professionally
- Resolve operational and on-site challenges efficiently
Qualifications & Requirements
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent
- 2–3 years of relevant landscaping or supervisory experience
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience operating landscaping and construction equipment (e.g., skid steers, tractors, backhoes)
- Knowledge of horticulture, lawn care, irrigation systems, and landscape construction
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
